BOTTLE FILES
Making Bottle Files
- Cp for pb**/btl all files to pb/CTD/work
- Rm old u* files
- Mkdbot.s
- ftp new u* files to download folder on computer hard drive
- Load excel
- Change file type to .xls
- Save template.bot as "pb99____.bot" (make sure enclosed in quotes)
- Enter cruise info first. Information can be taken from the cast sheets.
- Note: Don’t forget to put in the sampling depths for station 4.
- Click on CTD tab at bottom of spreadsheet
- Open up u file for first station of cruise
- Copy the information from the u file into bottle file spreadsheet. Only copy one of the replicates into the bottle file.
- BE CAREFUL TO MATCH UP DEPTHS AND STATION CORRECTLY
- Click on NUTS tab at bottom of spreadsheet
- Enter data emailed from nutrients lab into proper places
- Same thing that is done for NUTS is done for TSM, CHL a, PSI, & HPLC
- Save file as tab delimited ascii file with extension of .asc
- ftp as ascii file to:
- data archive: /home/data65/BottleFile/pb**/ …
- public ftp site: /home/data65/pb/pnbftp/Bottle Files/pb**/.,..
- Web page: /home/data3/mosaic/crseo/PnB/BottleFiles/pb**/…
- Update data tracking sheet spreadsheet PB_BOT__DATA_TRACKING
- Update data tracking html file on computer
- Edit DataAvailibility.html to remove the <hs>X so it is NOT center aligned
- ftp to web page
