Regional Circulations in Southern California

 

Complex topographic features, differences in land type and ocean-land contrasts create important regional atmospheric circulations in Southern California. These regional circulations have substantial impacts on wildfire hazard conditions and heavy rainfall. These pages contain information about some of these regional circulations.
