Please note: when all goes well, "user" file systems are backed up every 24 hours and "data" file systems are backed up every 7 days. However, sometimes this schedule may not be met due to system failures, power outages, etc. File systems of "scratch" type are never backed up. Files that have been off-line for more than one year and/or that were deleted more than one year ago can not be recovered unless special arrangements were made in advance.

If a file system shown in the list below physically resides in Bren Hall, the data on that file system is at risk of being lost in the event of any kind of disaster that can destroy both the file system and the removable media associated with these backups. For example, if the disk you're having backed up physically resides in Bren Hall and all of Bren Hall burns down, you will lose your data. We're assuming this risk is acceptable to you if you continue to use this backup system.
