Hi All,

It is with profound sadness that I inform you of the recent death of Jonathan Klamberg. Jon came to ICESS as my graduate student in 2001 and completed his Masters this summer. Jon's research focused on the modeling of ocean mixing its role on the dynamics of colored dissolved organic matter.

As Jon's advisor, I let his family know how much Jon meant to all of us and how deeply his death will be felt. Jon was a wonderful young man and will be missed by any who knew him. Jon's funeral was held on November 25, 2005 in Mascoutah, IL. His family has asked that contributions be made in Jon's name to the Foundation for Autism Services Today and Tomorrow (FASTT) in lieu of flowers (details are in the obituary below). We are looking into options for a memorial here on campus and will keep you informed.

Dave
