Figure Caption. This is a "Double Difference" image of the July, 1995 M 8, Antofagasta earthquake. The earthquake occured about 35 km deep beneath the penninsula, i.e., beneath the leftmost-middle of the image. Each color cycle represents about 3 cm of topographic height change. Unfortunately the original raw files from the ERS satellites were missing some data lines. These missing lines are clearly evident in the image and lead to phase distortions. We are working on ways to fix this problem.
